Nothing Lasts Forever – story of a pattern

Mirjam’s last nails

I had same nail technician for nearly 8-9 years. She knew me, my style and we got along really well. So you can imagine my sadness when in December of 2022 I found out that this is our last time.

So I had difficult task of finding new technician, nails still need to get done. I asked for recommendation and booked an appointment with Anneli. Everything was great and nails were amazing, so now she does my nails.

In February I got rose gold metallic nails and they needed something extra on them. Anneli took out huge amount of nail stamping plates and I started choosing. There were many beautiful options, few stood out. For my nails I chose sprocket patterns – I just couldn’t resist, mechanic in me screamed for those. And one geometrical pattern was perfect for knitting, I was inspired right away. I took photo of that plate and exactly one week later I cast on stitches.

Before the end of February shawl was done. Really happy how it turned out. This lavender yarn is really beautiful when combined with white.
